A loan of $600 helped to purchase more germinating Irish potato seedlings to grow.


Earnest's story

Earnest, who is 36, has shown that devotion, steadfastness and sedulous work can bring many dividends in business. Plying his Irish potato farming trade for the last two years been a very worthwhile experience for him. Irish Potatoes are increasing becoming a staple food in most Ugandan households, and they sell very well in most food markets, not only in Kyenjojo but in the central region too, where Earnest intends to expand his market.



Earnest, who is single but plans to get married, has a weekly sales revenue of UGX 40,000, and also derives income from a barber shop. He says that the Kiva loan he is requesting will help finance the purchase of more germinating Irish potato seedlings to grow.
