A loan of $1,250 helped a member to buy goats and sheep.

Khursheed's Group's story

Khursheed is requesting a loan from KIVA's partner Asasah for her brother’s animal sales business. He will use the loan to buy goats and sheep in larger numbers. He will raise them and sell them to butchers for a profit. Khursheed's brother has been operating his business for many years and Khursheed is confident that an investment will enable him to be more productive and to increase his income.

Khursheed is a housewife, staying at home and managing her household responsibilities. Her husband has a job. Khursheed is the mother of 2 children, both very young and not yet of school going age. Khursheed is a very responsible person and is always willing to help her family in difficult times. She is hopeful that her brother will make good use of this loan and increase his income by expanding his business. Note: In the photo, Khursheed is holding a book (the Asasah Passbook).
