A loan of $1,500 helped a member to buy bedcovers.

La Bienvenida Group's story

Beatriz is 20 years old. She’s married and has two children. The oldest is named Alex and is three years old. María de Jesús is only a year old. Her husband is named Natividad and works for the Coca Cola company.

She sells bedspreads, pillows, and sheets. She has also had a drink stand for two years. Between this and her bedding business, she has learned how to move her businesses ahead. Her husband helps her with her drinks business and in this way they each contribute toward the household expenses. She will use the money from this loan to invest in bedcovers and sheets. She expects things to go very well.

Beatriz is a member of the “La Bienvenida” group. They called it this because this will be their first loan. The group is made up of four persons who are: María Magdalena, Martin, Maurilia, and Beatriz. Each runs her own business, such as food sales, drink sales, games, etc.

In this group: Maria Magdalena , Martin , Maurilia , Beatriz Adriana
