A loan of $1,125 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Alejandro's story

Alejandro, 56, is a hardworking man who is dedicated to his work in the fields. He lives with Rosalva who is also a farmer and housewife. This happy union produced four children who are 17, 12, 9, and 6 years old; they are his greatest joy and the reason he strives to get ahead. They all live together comfortably in their own home.

Alejandro’s activity is farming. He has land of his own where he grows palms for palm oil and also bananas and corn; the latter two are for home consumption. He also raises barnyard fowl like chickens and ducks having started this activity 24 years ago. He currently employs four laborers that he pays for each day worked. What he likes about his activity is being able to be out in the countryside, to have contact with nature where he feels very good. Besides, it provides what’s needed to live comfortably, to educate his children who are the source of his pride. Because of this, he very much wants to make progress and improve his farming techniques including purchasing a tractor.

This will be MFP loan #3 and he hopes for your cooperation to continue toward his goals. He says that he feels good in his communal bank because he considers the members to be excellent people. He will use the requested 3000 new soles to buy manure in volume to improve the quality of his land.
