A loan of $1,025 helped buy food crops for cultivation (beans, peppers and tomatoes).

Finagnon Mathias's story

Finagnon Mathias is 51 years old and married to a saleswoman named Celestine. The couple has fifteen children all of whom attend (or have attended) school, and live under their care. In addition to their own children, they care for two other children. Finagnon Mathias has not attended school himself. The couple shares responsibility for all household expenditures.

To provide for his needs and those of his family, Finagnon Mathias has been cultivating beans, peppers and tomatoes over the past forty years, which he then sells in the surrounding area. Alongside this activity, Dossa Mathias is also a fisherman. He resupplies in Cotonou.

In order to bolster his business and better serve his customers, Finagnon Mathias is requesting a fifth credit loan from ALIDé. His ambition is to increase the level of his business activity. The previous four loans granted him have all been fully reimbursed.
