Célestin's story

Célestin, age 41, is married to a merchant named Odette. The couple has thirteen children to support, out of which some attend school. In addition, they have two other children to support. The couple covers the various family expenses together.

Célestin never attended school. To provide for himself and his family, he's been growing cereals for about thirty years. He sells his crops in his region.

In parallel, Célestin is a fisherman. He runs his businesses in a town in Benin. In order to bolster his business and better meet customer demand, he's seeking his fifth loan from Kiva's partner, ALIDé.

He ambitions to bolster his business. The first four loans he received previously were repaid without problems.
