Bezhan is a 54 years old farmer from the village Kakhareti, Southern part of the country. He is married and lives with his family: his wife Lali and their 23 year old son. The only source of the income for the family is agriculture. They have milking cows and produce cheese. They sell the products on local market. Along with the above mentioned activities, the family grows corn and various vegetables on their family owned plot of the land. Harvested products are sold locally for cheap price.

Bezhan has requested credit for purchasing a minibus to transport the family's agricultural products to the capital city of the country. He will take and sell the products in Tbilisi for a higher price. Also, when he has the minibus, he will purchase additional products in the village for resale and, even taking into account the fuel cost, the profit of the family will increase. The family will use their increased profits to improve their living conditions.
