A loan of $500 helped to purchase farming supplies.

Luos's story

Mrs. Luos N., 37, works growing rice and vegetables and sells them at a nearby market. She can generally make about $6 each day, while her husband can make on average around $5 a day in revenue from his fishery work.

Luos Naran has five children, including the one who will be born in the next three months. Two of her children are currently employed by a garment factory and the rest of her children are too young to attend school. Because she is pregnant and is not able to work on her rice field, her husband has to take care of her and does all the work himself.

Recently, this couple has requested a loan to purchase some farming supplies including fertilizer, seeds, pesticide, and gasoline to improve their production. This couple plans to save a lot of money to give their children better lives.
