Mrs. Meach, 51, is a local farmer who cultivates rice and vegetable crops from the Kompong Speu province. She has been engaged in this business since 2000. She and her husband work on the same project. This couple is blessed with seven children. All of them are single and some are working to make a better living.
With this loan, Mrs. Meach will use the money to buy a pumping machine to provide enough water to her vegetable crops. In this case, she will be able to grow more crops and expand her farming business.

The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
