Karina's story

Karina is a young woman who is 22 years of age. She lives with her family in the community of Osa, which is located in Caña Blancal in Puntarenas Province. This community is known for being in a rural area with beaches that are frequented by many visitors. The main business activities are tourism and agriculture.

Karina has the support and assistance of her entire family, which makes it easier for her to continue her business. In addition, she says that her business is very interesting because she has seen her venture gradually grow. Demand gets stronger each time and her neighbors in the community are satisfied with the service she provides.

At the moment, Karina is requesting a microloan in the amount of 596,000 CRC in order to buy chickens. This will enable her to maintain her business in the best way possible. In addition, she will have more income to support her family.

Doña Karina is a member of the Communal Credit Enterprise of Caña Blancal, one of the 150 organizations that are part of EDESA in Costa Rica. She hopes this loan will help her grow on both a personal and financial level. Karina also expresses her appreciation that these types of organizations and credit facilitators dedicate most of their time to productive activities.
