A loan of $375 helped to buy balanced animal feed for her livestock.

Norma's story

Norma is 54 years old, she is in a live-in relationship and has two children. She lives in her own home, which is located in the La Coruña hamlet in the district of Tambogrande. This is part of the Piura region, and is four hours from the city of Chiclayo, which is the capital of the Lambayeque department. Norma lives in the rural part of this district, and still does not have electricity or running water.

Norma works raising pigs and farmyard poultry. She raises and fattens them until they reach an ideal weight and size to sell at the local market to her neighbors and the retailers who come there. Her husband helps her in this work. The income they receive allows them to cover their personal expenses and those of their family.

Norma wants to purchase balanced feed for her livestock; this investment will allow her to continue to grow her business. It is so that she can achieve her goal, that she has seen fit to obtain a loan of 1,000 new soles from Edpyme Alternativa, with which she will be able to improve her quality of life.
