Susana's story

This member belongs to the community bank "Virgen Concebida de Arin". The bank is located in the district of Arin in the province of Calca and department of Cusco.
The member is Susana. She is 62 years old and has 6 children. Susana works making clothes and also cultivates corn and vegetables. She has a number of "chacras", which are plots of cultivated land, and these are close to her house. Once her produce has reached full size, she sells them in the different markets in the towns of Calca, Urubamba, and Cusco as well as to people she knows, and in this way she has increased her income and obtained things she needed in her home. She makes clothes such as aprons, skirts, dresses, and sweaters for women.
The loan that she is requesting will be used to buy corn, yarn, fabrics, and buttons to grow her business.
The member is grateful for the loan and promises to make the repayments according to the timetable.
