Ali is a 30-year-old Lebanese married man. He lives with his wife and only one child. They really depend on him especially because of the heavy costs of life.
Ali opened his own bakery in 2008 and he’s looking forward to further grow the business. For this reason, he’s requesting, today, a loan of $1600 from kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase the needed raw materials for his bakery such as sugar, flour and many other products. He notes that this kiva loan will help him to earn a superior income. In the future, he plans to collect money and to enlarge his bakery to be able to receive more customers.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
