Irina is married and she has two sons. Irina lives in Kamenka and works in agriculture. She grows early season tomatoes in greenhouses. Irina owns six large greenhouses in which she plants 7,000 tall tomato plants each year. She has been growing vegetables for 8 years. She has invested 150,000 hryvna in her business. Every year she spends close to 55, 000 hryvna to replace the protective cover and to buy seeds.
Irina is requesting a loan of 18,000 hryvna to provide heat to her greenhouses and protect future crops from the cold with a second layer of polyethylene cover. Irina hopes that next year will bring a good crop of early tomatoes, because the demand for this type of tomatoes is always high and they can be sold at a good price. In the fall and winter Irina also works very hard and sells various produce at the market: citrus fruits, apples, potatoes, carrots etc... She always goes to places where she can purchase her produce at a low cost.
