Maria Shirley's story

María is 33 years old. She lives with her partner and has one child. She lives in her own home which is located in the small village of CP-2 Colera, in Tambogrande district, in Piura region, four hours from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of Lambayeque department. The client lives in the rural part of the district and only receives electricity.

María raises pigs and farmyard birds. She currently has 10 pigs and 12 hens which she raises and fattens. Once they have reached an ideal size and weight, she sells them in the local market. María also has half a hectare of land that her father gave her as an inheritance and there she grows lemons which she harvests every week. Her partner supports her in her business activities. These business activities have been the main sources of income for her family and so they are always working hard to make progress in them.

María would like to maintain her crops and would also like to invest in buying nutritionally-balanced feed to improve her animal production. for this reason, she has requested a loan for 1,000 soles from Edpyme Alternativa.

María is a hard-working and tenacious woman. Together with her partner, she works hard every day to make progress and provide for her children.
