Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Inès Juliette's story

Inès Juliette is 29 years old and lives in Benin. Inès Juliette is married to a teacher named Martin. The couple has two educated, dependent children. In addition to their own children, the couple also cares for another child. The children live together with their parents. The couple covers the various household expenses together.

To contribute to the various needs of the family, Inès Juliette has been working as a hairdresser out of her own home for six years now. On the side, Inès Juliette sells cereal and various items (soap and coal) by the distribution system. Thanks to the revenue that she generates from this work, Inès Juliette contributes to the family's various expenses.

To meet the needs of her growing customer base, Inès Juliette is asking for a fourth loan through ALIDé. Her three previous loans were all paid back in full.
