Liana's story

Liana was born in 1984 in Ashgabat, the Turkmen Republic. At age 14 she and her family moved to Armenia and settled in the town of Kapan. After graduating from high school she married and moved with her husband to the village of Geghi. Liana has two sons. The elder son goes to high school and the younger one goes to kindergarten. At the moment Liana works on a communal farm..

For ten years, Liana and her husband have been doing farm work. They grow vegetables and fruit, as well as breeding cattle, sheep and pigs. The fruit and vegetables they produce are sold in markets in the Syunikskoy area, and they sell meat and milk out of their home to regular customers. Thanks to the farm, Liana and her husband are able to provide for the family. Liana needs a loan of 1,000,000 Armenian drams to buy hay, feed, and a few pigs.
