A loan of $800 helped to buy several bundles of used clothing.

Evangelina's story

Mrs. Evangelina sells used clothing. She is 51, married, and has six children. Her husband is an elementary school teacher. Evangelina started to work for a living over ten years ago, selling pop and charamusca [a frozen juice snack] from her home. After a while, started selling food from a small stand, but she had to stop because the rent was too high and she wasn't making enough money to cover it. So, her husband and children helped her to fit out part of their home and get set up to sell used clothing. This is now how she makes her living. She works alone, and on the weekend she goes out to sell in other villages and to wholesalers. Evangelina is now requesting a loan for buying several bales of used clothing, since the Christmas season is coming up. With the support of this loan, she will be able to stock her store with new styles so that all of her customers can sport the latest fashions. Her goal is to have a larger business in the downtown core of the city in order to have a greater influx of customers. This is her first loan with FAMA and she hopes to repay her quotas punctually.
