Ngugi's story

Ngugi lives in the Mariakani area of the Coastal Province, Kenya. She is married with two children, both of whom are in high school; one in the first year and the other in the third year. Ngugi has a kiosk which she uses to sell fruits e.g. bananas, mangoes and sugarcane. She has been in this business for the last ten years and it is an idea she got from a friend who used to sell coconuts. Ngugi has been a Milango client for six weeks and she intends to get this loan to build a permanent kiosk where she will begin a grocery shop.
She is applying for a loan of Ksh 20,000 to purchase more fruits and vegetables.
Ngugi is committed to having a very big grocery shop in the future.
Ngugi will be able to cater to the needs of her family using the income obtained and also pay fees for her children who are in school since her husband is not working.
