A loan of $3,550 helped a member to buy clothing.

Ayudanos Senor 3 & 7 Group's story

Cleotilde is the coordinator of her group, Ayudanos Senor (Help Us, Lord) 3 & 7, a group made up of mostly Haitian citizens. They are located in the city of La Romana, where decades ago Haitians emigrated to work in the sugarcane industry. They all live in a rural community outside of the main city. This kind of communities are called Batey, which are villages founded for sugarcane workers.

Cleotilde and her long-term partner make their home here in a simple structure with their three children. Their community is "a Batey", where most of the people live without services and where it is necessary to go to a closer city to get everything they want.

Cleotilde's excited to be taking her third loan with Esperanza after having successfully repaid her previous loan and grown her business. She has been running her business for almost three years. She started investing in calling cards when many people bought prepaid cellphones because they need to buy calling cards to recharge their mobile credits, and over time she started buying clothes to sell. Since this happened, she has been dedicated to vending clothes and calling cards, and she is also adding other products like shoes and cosmetics.

She will use this loan to purchase clothing, shoes, and miscellaneous products. She thanks you all for your support.
