A loan of $550 helped for the purchase of grocery products.

Keiry Patricia's story

Señora Keiry is 22 years old and lives with her parents and two sisters in the village of Nuevo Jalapa in the Nuevo Celilac municipality. Keiry is single and has no children.

Keiry was a nurse at a local hospital, but 8 months ago, with the help of her parents, she decided to start up her own business so that she didn't need to depend on other people for employment. She opened her convenience store in March, and works from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day serving her customers. She sells grocery items and everything needed for household basics.

She requested this loan of L10,000 to stock up her business with grocery products, as the Christmas season is nearing when her sales increase. Keiry hopes to grow as a business woman, so that she can help support her parents and her sisters.
