A loan of $1,025 helped to buy fabrics for her workshop.

Marta's story

Marta is from the city of San Lorenzo. She defines herself as a very hardworking, entrepreneurial, and above all, humble woman. She struggles daily to provide her family with a better future.

She has a small sewing workshop in the city of Areguá, 20 km. away from the city of San Lorenzo, where she travels to for work. She is separated and lives with two of her older children and her mother. She used to work as an employee for other people, always in the sewing industry. She always has a lot of work which provides her with a good income. With the loans she received from Fundación Paraguaya, she bought machines to set up her own workshop where she works and makes clothing. This credit will be used to buy fabrics in bulk, which will be very helpful for her workshop.

Marta is thankful to Fundación Paraguaya for the trust they place in her, thanks to which she has been able to move forward.
