A loan of $1,525 helped to purchase a car for the transportation of dairy products.

Jimsher's story

Jimsher is 46 years old. He lives in the village of Martkopi, East Georgia. He is married and lives with his wife Nino and his father. Jimsher works as an electrical equipment fitter. At the same time, he is actively involved in family agriculture. The family has three milk cows and produces yogurt. They sell, on average, 60 liters of yogurt in Tbilisi (the capital city of the country). The total average monthly income of the family is 400 Laris, including the monthly pension of Jimsher’s father.

Jimsher takes the finished products to Tbilisi by public transport three times a week, which is quite uncomfortable and costly. He requested credit for purchasing an old car, which will be used for the transportation of dairy products. Jimsher will load the car once a week and take all the products to Tbilisi. It will save on transportation costs, as well as Jimsher’s time.

In the future, the family plans to purchase more cows in order to expand the dairy farm and increase the income of the family.
