Philoméne's story

Philomena is a 33-year-old mother of three children. She has been a member of the local "Banc Villageois" association since September 2008 and is part of the "sope sa jeker" solidarity group.

Philomena practices small retail trading, specifically dealing with cereals (millet, maize, peanuts). She also sells ready-to-wear clothes.

With her new loan of 250,000 XOF she will buy millet, maize, 10 pairs of shoes and 10 ready-to-wear clothes for resale.

Using the profits she will buy rice, oil and sugar at the end of each month for her children. She will also buy medication for her family in case of illness.
