A loan of $2,950 helped a member to buy products like cosmetics, shoes, etc. to sell.

La Alternativa 4 & 5 Group's story

Alida is one member of the 10 person group, La Alternativa 4 & 5. Her group is located in Samana, a lush rugged peninsula with a nascent tourism industry. Alida, like all in this group, decided to do business with Esperanza because she needed to bring extra income to her house.

Alida is a divorced mother of 3 children. She is running a sales business where she sells different products like cosmetics, shoes, accessories, and clothing. Alida started her business with her first loan from Esperanza, and this activity allows her to support her family. With this loan, she will invest in her business by buying more of those products. Her future plans are to have a wholesale store, to have enough money to give her children all their needs, and to pay for their degree studies.

This Esperanza associate began with us around 6 years ago, and this is her 13th loan. All previous loans have been re-paid and invested in her business. She thanks all of you for your support!
