Olga's story

Olga belongs to the “Consuelo” communal bank in the San Pablo district, Bellavista province, department of San Martin. She is 36 years old, married and has 3 children. The two oldest are independent and the youngest is 5.

When she was young, she worked as a domestic employee. One of her sisters in law left her a business she couldn't run anymore, and since then, Olga has sold juice. She started with 300.00 nuevos soles in capital she obtained from the Movimiento Manuela Ramos. At present, she sells cakes, sandwiches, stir fried rice and fruit snacks in addition to juice.

Her husband works as a driver in a transportation business.

With this new loan of S/. 2,000.00 nuevos soles, she will buy ingredients such as: a variety of fruit, sacks of sugar, kilos of chicken, cartons of eggs, jugs of milk, and more. She has a lot of customers who prefer her good cooking and friendliness.

Olga is a fighter and and enterprising woman. Her dream is to have her own home and to begin selling groceries. She is very satisfied with the Movimiento Manuela Ramos for offering opportunities to woman like her to grow financially.
