Mariana Mercedes's story

Doña María is 55 years old and lives in the city of Leon. She is married, a businesswoman by trade and without children because of the treatmentst she was subjected to for cysts in the womb. She a strong and determined woman who never gave up in her fight against cancer. She sells and makes tamales, a business she inherited from her mother 22 years ago. She also owns a grocery store which she set up 12 years ago where she sells consumer products for the home and clothing.

She took the loan to purchase clothing, soft drinks, corn, potatoes, meat, vegetables to make her delicious tamales, as the Christmas season is approaching which is when sales are very good and she wants to have all kinds of products to offer her customers. She wants to grow her business, expand her grocery store with products of great need for her area.
