A loan of $875 helped to buy supplies such as spare parts, lubricants, and additives.

Elisa's story

Elisa belongs to the "Consuelo" communal bank, in San Pablo district, in Bellavista province, in San Martín department. She is 30, lives with her partner, and has four children in her care, who are in primary and secondary school.

When they had just gotten married, she and her husband farmed; but eight years ago, her husband set up an auto repair shop, and has worked at that ever since.

He encouraged her to start a business selling spare parts and lubricants. She began the business thanks to a loan of 500 nuevos soles from Movimiento Manuela Ramos.

She gets help from her husband and her children. With this new loan of 2,300 nuevos soles, she will buy supplies such as spare parts, lubricants, and additives.

Elisa is a determined and enterprising woman. Her dream is to expand her business. She is very thankful to the Movimiento Manuela Ramos, because she gets educational sessions, and through these talks she is being taught how to manage her business' money.
