A loan of $1,775 helped a member to buy piglets to raise and also to buy feed for them.

Santa Ana Group's story

The “Santa Ana” committee was formed when several neighbors from the city of Chore joined together. All the members of the committee carry out independent activities but they also do joint projects to raise funds and have savings available for any eventuality. The members formed a very united group that’s capable of carrying out joint activities designed to strengthen their union.

One of the members is Cristina who is group President. She raises animals like pigs and chickens. She comments that this type of work is very demanding because it requires much effort for she has to care for her animals insuring they have no problems. She does very well in her business so is asking the Fundación and Kiva for help to continue growing. She’s asking for the loan to buy piglets to raise and also to buy feed for them.
