A loan of $375 helped to buy sheep.

Lucio's story

Lucio, 41, is an exemplary father. He lives with Marisol, his wife of 22 years. They have four children together that they care for in their own house located in the outskirts of Los Libertadores in Huari. His main economic activity is raising livestock. In time he’s managed to acquire quite a number of animals and to become very well known among the town’s residents as a hardworking, responsible man. Among the animals he owns are sheep, cows, llamas and horses which he cares for very diligently. He relates that once a week when buyers arrive he sells one of his animals earning at least 100 new soles. Now, he wants to increase his herd size and gather good capital.

He belongs to the “Galpón al Éxito” communal bank and this is the first MFP loan. He is grateful for the support he gets because it permits him to make progress with his business. In addition, he pledges to be punctual with his payments because his communal bank is composed of responsible, mutually supportive people. If Lucio were to receive your support, he will use the money to buy several sheep to increase his herd size.
