A loan of $400 helped to purchase construction supplies in order to continue building his house (cinder blocks, sand, rafters, iron, cement, etc.).

Acacio's story

He was born in the province of Nampula, northern Mozambique. He is married and has three children, two of which attend school. He attended a vocational high school and stopped because his parents lacked financial conditions. He lives with his family in a house he owns and also supports his parents who live with him.
He left Nampula for Maputo on a study mission. He has been an administrator at José Macamo EP1 School and a community leader for over three years. He earns a salary of 8.000mt a month. He uses it to pay for home expenses and saves part of it in his bank account.
He has never had loans in other banks. He first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is his third loan with Hluvuku. It is for 10.000mt, which he intends to use to purchase construction supplies in order to continue building his house (cinder blocks, sand, rafters, iron, cement, etc.). The other loans were for 6.000mt and 20.000mt, for personal housing.
He pledges to repay as scheduled. In the future he intends to finish building his house and to invest in his education. For that purpose he plans to request more loans from Hluvuku.
