A loan of $475 helped to purchase goods for selling (oil, rice, flour, peanuts, etc.).

Dulce's story

She was born in the district of Boane, province of Maputo, southern Mozambique. She is single and has a son who still attends school. She completed 7th grade and stopped because her parents lacked financial conditions. She lives with her family in a house she owns and also supports two sisters by sending them money to help with their expenses.
She has been a businesswoman for over five years. She sells essential goods and earns an income of about 5.000mt a month. She uses it to pay for home expenses and saves part of it in her bank account.
She has never had loans in other banks. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this insitution. This is her third loan with Hluvuku. It is for 12.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase goods (oil, rice, flour, peanuts, etc.) in order to increase the volume of her merchandise. The other loans were for 8.500mt and 12.000mt, both for her business.
She pledges to repay as scheduled. In the future she intends to expand her business and for that purpose she plans to request more loans from Hluvuku.
