A loan of $500 helped to purchase clothing for selling.

Sidia's story

She was born in the district of Boane, province of Maputo, southern Mozambique. She is single and has three children who still attend school. She completed 11th grade and stopped because her parents lacked financial conditions. She lives with her family in a house she owns and also supports a niece who lives with her.
She has been a businesswoman for over six years. She sells used clothing and beverages and earns an income of about 3.000mt a month. She uses it to pay for home expenses and saves part of it in her bank account.
She has never had loans in other banks. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this insitution. This is her fourth loan with Hluvuku. It is for 13.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase loads of used clothing and boxes of beverages in order to increase the volume of her merchandise. The other loans were for 6.000mt, 12.000mt and 13.000mt, all for her business.
She pledges to repay as scheduled. In the future she intends to expand her business and finish building her house. For that purpose she plans to request more loans from Hluvuku.
