Safoura's story

Safoura is a 43-year-old woman. She is married to a driver. She has two children who go to school. The first-born is nine and the youngest is seven years old.

Safoura has been working as a vendor since 1998. She sells cereals to a variety of clients at the market. She buys her product in Lomé. She works alone. Right now, she has no difficulties.

Safoura requested her first loan from WAGES in order to buy cereals. She wants to reinvest in her business.

In the coming years, Safoura would like to expand her business. She says that with the profits, she plans to make sure that her family's basic food needs are met.
