Oktom's story

Oktom is 43 years old, married and is raising three children. Her oldest sons are students in the Osh State University and her daughter is a ninth grade student. Oktom has high education with the degree in teaching and has worked as an elementary school teacher in the local village. After recommending herself as a professional in her field she has been selected by the principal of the school in 2008. In 1994, searching for an additional source of income to finance their family Oktom and her husband have started their business in breeding and feeding cattle. Starting with the amount of 6,000 KGS Oktom applied all her efforts in growing of the business. Today her household has four cows and four calves and give around 6,000 KGS a month from milk product sales. With the purpose of further growing of business Oktom has come to Bai Tushum and partners for a loan in the amount of 135,000 KGS to buy cattle. In the future Oktom plans to actively continue her business in animal husbandry and dreams of buying a car.
