Yat, 46, is married and has three children, who are still in school. She runs a grocery store in front of her house. She sells biscuits, detergent, seasoning, etc. She also sells medicine in her grocery store. Her husband sometimes works for others to raise additional income. Now she earns less than 8 US dollars per day to feed her family. Yat leads a group of two female members. This is the first loan for her group. She is now requesting for a loan with VisionFund. She wants to buy grocery stock and some medicines for her store. This loan will enable her to increase her stock of groceries and she hopes to earn more income to better feed her family and also keep her three children in school.
