A loan of $600 helped to buy basic grains, bread, oil, sugar, sweets, cleaning products, cosmetics, and decorations.

Juana Marta's story

Juana, age 66, owns a small store. She is a widow and has adult children. She started her business 17 years ago when her husband died, since he had been the sole provider for the family. She has kept the business going. She and her children have succeeded with the business and they have more stock now than ever. She is taking out this loan to stock her store with products such as basic grains, bread, oil, sugar, sweets, cleaning products, cosmetics, and decorations. Christmas is coming up, and she wants to take advantage of the good sales that are typical of this season. One of her plans is to buy two display cases and another showcase for her products.
