Miriam Adriana's story

Miriam is a member of El Control Communal Bank. She lives in a community in the parish of Turi in the city of Cuenca. This parish is known as the viewpoint from where you can observe a large part of the city. The people there work in agriculture and raising animals, and preserve the culture and traditions of their parents.

Miriam is 23 years old and married, and from her marriage has three children, ages 6, 4, and 2. Her two oldest children study in a school in the city. Her husband works as a building worker. The house they live in belongs to a relative.

Miriam works raising and selling pigs, guinea pigs, and chickens. She also works farming the land and washing clothes for people.

This is her third loan with the communal bank and she is going to invest it in buying pigs and feed for them.

Her goal is to build a house.
