A loan of $1,125 helped to buy more articles of clothing.

Marcelina's story

Marcelina, 42, lives with Jesús, 41, and they have three children. They all live together in La Soledad District, Pichari. When Marcelina was going through some critical moments in her life a great work opportunity arose: a cocoa bean gathering center. She selects cocoa beans there to be packaged in 25 kilo units and be sent to the capital to be sold. Marcelina has been working for this gathering center for 8 months and has amassed a good capital.

With it, she started a clothing sales business hoping to have her own source of income and have more time for her family because at work she had to follow work schedules. Now, she’s happy with the business she has but since she still wants to grow and does not have sufficient capital to do so, she’s called on MFP to request a loan which she hopes will lead to a well-stocked clothing store in the future. This is her first MFP loan and she commits to make her installment payments punctually. She will use the 3000 soles to buy more articles of clothing to stock her business.
