Dialicounda Kawral/ Tedungal Group's story

The Tedungal group was created on 12 October 2010 at the inauguration of the Local Village Fund under which it operates. It comprises ten women who primarily run small retail businesses.

Ms. Coumba (in the inset all the way on the right side of the photo) is the group leader. She is 48 years old, married, and has eight children. She also takes care of four other members of her family.

She sells tea, sugar, and condiments at the market in her town. She has mastered this business, having practiced it for more than five years.

With her new loan, she plans to supply herself with sugar, tea, and various other products. She intends to better support her husband in providing for the family.
