The Naforé Group is in its 17th loan cycle. The group includes 22 women who all live in the same village. The all participate in small businesses.

Mrs. Aïssatou (standing at the far right in the photo) is the group's leader. She is 44 years old, married and the mother of six children.

Mrs. Aïssatou sells groundnuts and soap in the weekly markets near her village. Her new loan will allow her to purchase groundnuts and soap for resale. The profits will allow her to support her husband in providing for the medical care of children.
