Baktykan's story

Baktykan is 38 years old, and, together with her husband, she is raising three children. In search of financial help, Baktykan started her own business of reselling fruits and vegetables at the local market in 2002. Having started with an initial sum of 5,000 som (KGS), she put all of her efforts toward developing the sales and earns a monthly profit of 15,000 som (KGS) today. In order to further grow her business, Baktykan requested a loan in the sum of 50,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to expand her product selection. She plans to invest the earnings into expanding her retail space.
