Ryskan's story

Ryskan is 53 years old and married with two adult children. In 1996, in search of a source of income for her family, Ryskan began to sell household goods at the local market. There is high demand for a good variety of products. Ryskan made electronics her main products and is able to make a profit of around 40,000 som a month. The income from her business activities enabled Ryskan to purchase a shopping pavilion in the market. To further grow her business, Ryskan has approached Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 70,000 som to expand the range of her products. With the income from the loan Ryskan plans to expand her retail space.
