A loan of $1,200 helped to buy basic grains, oil, sugar, milk, cosmetics, cleaning products, clothing, and shoes.

Vilma's story

Vilma is 42 years old and barely finished the first grade. She knows how to succeed as a mother, a homemaker, and a merchant. Vilma is originally from Trinidad in the town of Estelí. She started out when she was 22 years old by selling clothes as a street merchant. This was her first business, but she later opened a store where she sells food products and household goods.

She is requesting a loan to buy basic grains, oil, sugar, milk, cosmetics, cleaning products, clothing, and shoes. This loan will help Vilma maintain her inventory of products that are most requested by her customers, thereby improving her sales. One of her goals is to convert her shop into a variety store that carries different products.
