Ricardo's story

Ricardo is 38 years old, and he lives with his wife and 3 children aged 3 to 17. He lives in one of the prettiest and most popular neighborhoods south of the city. He provides decorations and paintings for holiday and birthdays, and he designs decorations for motorcycles. To carry out his idea, Richard worked in a shop where he got a lot of experience. With their liquidation he went solo and bought what he needed from them to make beautiful designs in his free time. This made it easier for him to start his own business venture which began in his backyard where it is today.

Currently he has applied for his 5th loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, an organization he’s worked with for 7 years. With his previous loans he was able to build his working capital, help his family, and increase their well-being. His goal going forward is to own his own home, continue growing his business, and generate work. With the Kiva loan he’s asked for, he will buy materials like paint, styrofoam, paint brushes, pencils, erasers, and tape because he’s the holiday season is approaching, a time when Ricardo usually makes the most of his sales.
