A loan of $1,125 helped to buy animals and supplies for farming business.

Eloy's story

Eloy, 42, is a responsible man. He and his wife, Lucinda, have been together for 24 years. They have 4 children. The youngest, Yosbert, is the only one still living at home. Eloy owns the house where they live in the town of Tingopaccha. Thanks to his hard work, he also has 9 hectares of land where he grows barley, wheat, beans, potatoes and other crops. He has made his living from the business for 20 years now and he's known as savvy negotiator. He wants to be known as a savvy merchant, as well, so he's started a business buying and selling animals. He has 40 sheet, 4 cows and 4 pigs. He takes good care of the animals because he wants to get a good price for them when he finally sells them at the market in Jauja. Eloy and his wife want to improve both businesses. This is their second MFP loan and they hope you will help them meet their goal. Eloy is committed to repaying the loan in the agreed-up on time. He says, too, that he likes his community bank because the members are responsilble and supportive of one another. Eloy will use this loan to buy organic fertilizer that he will spread around his potato cop and more animals for his farming business.
