A loan of $1,775 helped a member to buy groceries.

Bautista Triunfador Group's story

The communal bank Bautista Triunfador will begin its first cycle as part of the Los Andes regional office and it is made up of 7 members with a board headed by Verónica. The members of the communal bank have various businesses among which are neighborhood grocery store, selling gelatin, carpentry, seamstress, and knitting blankets.

Verónica says that this is her first time working with Pro Mujer and that she joined the communal bank through a promotional invitation. Currently she has a neighborhood grocery store where she has been working for some years.

She will use the money from this loan to increase her capital so she can buy groceries from wholesalers and then sell them later in her business. This form of work permits her to earn income in order to support her family. She is married and has 4 children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the health training.
