A loan of $375 helped to buy fertilizer and animals.

Yeny's story

Yeny is 32 years old and is a very wise woman. She herself cares for her three children, Joselin, Kely, and Luis, in her father’s home located in the Acolla settlement. Her work is in the country, farming and raising livestock. They are her tools for getting ahead. Potatoes and peas are her primary crops, which she raises on land that she inherited from her parents. Every morning she goes out to fertilize, clean up, and water. She later receives her reward for all her months of hard work. Because she is a wise woman, she also raises livestock, such as pigs and chickens, which she fattens up and sells to maintain the stability of the household income every month. Now she wants to save up and expand the business to include buying and selling of basic grains, in order to bring extra income into the household. She is a member of the “Mujeres Luchadoras” communal bank and this will be their first loan through MFP, where she is counting on your support to help her achieve her goal. She promises to make her payments on time. The group is made up of responsible and united people. She will use the money from this loan to invest in natural fertilizer to spread on her crops. She will also buy animals for her business.
