A loan of $1,000 helped to buy chickens and feed.

Digna Rosario's story

Digna is a very hardworking person who puts forth a lot of effort and likes to get ahead. She lives with her two children in Pimampiro, located 45 minutes from Ibarra, in the Imbabura province, in the north part of Ecuador.

Digna raises and sells chickens and does this thanks to her mother having taught her when she was very young. Now she sees the need to grow her business because she has to support her two children and this is her only source of income.

This will be her second loan through Fodemi and she will invest the money into chickens and balanced feed. This investment will help her increase her income thanks to better fed and fatter chickens.

Her dream is to provide for her children’s education and improve their quality of life.
