A loan of $1,125 helped to buy sacks of natural fertilizer.

Alicia's story

Alicia, 39, is a woman with many qualities. She’s always honest and has a smile on her face. She has five children but only lives with three of them: Kelvin, Stefany and Deyvis that she cares for in her own house located in Acolla hamlet. Her work helped her support her children by herself. Her main crops are potatoes, wheat and barley that she grows on lands inherited from her father. She has five years’ experience and what she likes best is helping people who need it since during harvest season she hires day laborers who help her collect the ripe fruit from the soil. She likes the countryside and that’s why she bought two cows and several sheep a few years ago and that produce milk and meat for her own consumption. If she has a financial problem, though, she can take advantage of them and sell them. She now wants to save up the most possible to provide her children with a good education.

She belongs to the “Mujeres Luchadoras” communal bank and this is the third MFP loan where she hopes for support from all of you to reach her goal. She promises to be punctual with her payments because her association is composed of responsible, supportive people. If Alicia were to receive your support, she will use the requested money to buy natural fertilizer to spread among her potato and onion crops.
